A genetic marker, carried in Jayda’s bloodline for two millennia, catches the attention of the ruling Black Dragons, who in their human guise operate a flight school at North Fraser Airport. Their leader, Griffin, means to claim her. They soon learn, however, that Jayda is beloved of the Earth Mother Elemental, and She too has plans for the young woman.
This is all news to Jayda, a young veterinarian starting her new practice adjacent to the airport lands, and who’s long been resigned to a quiet and studious life.
